TALEGAON

The oldest base of Good Shepherd Homes is Talegaon, situated near the foothills of the West Indian mountains. The town has proven to be an ideal location for GSH, with clean air, ample green space and good road/train access to Pune city which lies at 25 miles distance. GSH Talegaon operates two boys units and two girls units. The children are between the ages of 8 and 20. The charity maintains close ties with a number of high quality English Medium Schools in the area which the children attend.

The 47 children in GSH Talegaon are free to enjoy a carefree childhood and to develop academically away from the pressures and pollution of the big city.

Good Shepherd Homes’ 11.5 acre land is only 5 miles up the road from Talegaon, and is presently being developed into village for 430 children.
